African Packaging Organisation (APO) founded on 12 June 2012, in Johannesburg by packaging institutions in six African countries who signed the statute for the formation of APO, sequel to World Packaging Organisation's (WPO) approval. APO is a full member of the WPO. APO members are from Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, and Tunisia. APO was incorporation by the Corporate Affairs Commission on 5th March 2021 in Nigeria. APO aims: to improve the standard of packaging across Africa by employing various strategies, supporting its members, improving packaging capability in Africa, and striving to increase trade throughout Africa.
